Is a program in which communities, citizens and citizens come together to co-create ideas from the local level, and address climate challenges in their contexts.
During a Climathon, local governments, individuals and communities identify and make visible innovative solutions and projects that promote a more sustainable world, while co-creating ideas to address climate challenges from their local level. The Climate-KIC organization developed this program and, since 2019, 2811 has led Climathons in different countries and cities in the Americas.

All people have potential, which is why we have spaces before and after the Climathon where they receive knowledge, develop new skills and generate cooperation networks.
Results
2811 has held 6 Climathons in 3 countries in the Americas. To date, the Climathons have mobilized agents of change in Silver City, United States; Maule and Linares, Chile; Bogota, Manizales and the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia.
More than 4350 people activated around climate challenges and solutions.
More than250 people impacted in Maule, Manizales, Bogota and Silver City.
More than 200 young people impacted in Linares, Chile and Cundinamarca, Colombia.
